Flato is the all-time leading scorer in PHS men's basketball history, with 1402 points. He was a 3 year varsity starter and earned 1st Team AlI-League honors his junior and senior years. Flato earned the Optimo Award 2 years and was a 2-year captain as well. He led the team to the NCS tournament his sophomore and senior years and averaged 17.7 PPG for his career. Flato also made the Chronicle All-Metro team as a senior. In tennis, he earned 2 letters as a Frosh and a Sophomore, was undefeated in doubles as a Frosh and was the league doubles champion as a Sophomore, also making All-League that year. Flato went onto Yale University, where he was the starting point guard for 3 years and earned All-Ivy League as a junior. He now plays for the Plymouth Raiders m the England professional basketball league.
